Super location, just a short walking distance to the beach and bus station. Awesome traditional Japanese house that made me feel right at home. Mind-blowingly nice and helpful owner who shared great recommendations. Jaw-droppingly well-equipped kitchen for everyone to use and cook their own food. Free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, shared kitchen, no pets, air-conditioning, and no smoking on site.

I recently stayed at Guesthouse in Shirahama for a few nights while exploring the beautiful nature scenes nearby. The location was perfect, with close proximity to Engetsu, Sandanbeki Cave, local shrines, and free foot baths. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and had a lovely Japanese-style design. The guesthouse offered fantastic amenities, including free snacks and use of the kitchen and laundry. I also appreciated the availability of bikes for exploring the area. a highly recommended and affordable place to stay.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Great owner who helps you in every situation, thank you for being so friendly and open-minded! The area is great, you can easily walk to the beach, supermarket, minimarkets, restaurants. There are also some bus stops just a few minutes' walk away. Everything is clean, you have an area to relax and you are able to use the kitchen. Very cozy place. I highly recommend the beach. There is a family market directly on the beach, showers, blue water, white sand, nice waves, all you need for a great beach day.
If you are used to sleeping on futons, it's perfect but for us, the futons in the bunk beds could be thicker. The shower was an 'outdoor' 'plastic' shower, which might be uncomfortable for some who want a proper bathroom to change in after showering.

I recently stayed at Guesthouse in Shirahama for a couple of nights. The funky and welcoming atmosphere of the guesthouse made me feel right at home. The owner, Takame, was fantastic, and her sense of humor had us both laughing. The location was perfect, with a short walk to the beach, bus line, and local shops and restaurants. Takame even gave me a lift to the cliffs, which was a great bonus. The free coffee, tea, and rice in the morning were a nice touch, and the kitchen was available for use. I had a wonderful stay and will cherish the memories.
Do recommend this hotel.

The interior decoration was lovely and added to the welcoming atmosphere of the place. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The location was excellent, with easy access to the beach, bus line, and local shops and restaurants.
We stayed in a shared room that was separated by sliding doors, which meant that we could hear everything from the next room. This made it difficult to sleep well.
